Easy Ways to Improve Your Search Engine Ranking

Blog – Try to post once a week, or if that’s too often, at least once a month or so. Think of case studies – the client came to you needing this, we put together 3 designs for our client based on their needs, here are photos of the before and after, and here’s a testimonial from the client.

Google Local – As well as the above, post news on your Google Local listing. Anything you would post on your photo gallery or blog, you can share there. Perhaps off-season specials, coupons, etc. are great to post on there. https://business.google.com

Reviews – Consider asking past clients and ongoing new clients for an honest review – if they can submit these to your Google Local listing, it’s incredibly helpful to increase your rank. Once you get a review, answer back from within your business profile, whether the review was good or bad. Even bad reviews can be helpful if you answer in a positive way, offering to make things right. https://support.google.com/business/answer/3474122?hl=en

Yelp – I recommend creating a Yelp account for your business. https://business.yelp.com/

Photo Gallery – Add new pics as often as you can.

YouTube – Create videos with maintenance tips, site walk-thru videos, client testimonials, etc., and add them to your own YouTube channel. Think this way – you are the pool expert and when you share tips, advice, etc. people share it and your audience grows. Who knows, if you get popular enough you can start making a living off your YouTube channel! Also, you can use videos on your Facebook page. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1646861?hl=en

Services page – Consider having me break up your services into separate pages, but we would need more detail on each of your services – Google recommends one product or service per page. Aim for at least 300 words per page.

Additionally, remember to put your web address on your business cards and other business correspondence.
